COOKING WITH HOME & GARDEN PARTY
Do you or your family love Chicken Strips?? Well if you do this is a great recipe that doesn't require frying but still gives you a great crunch.
Take 3 skinless chicken breasts and slice them into strips. Or purchase pre-cut chicken breast strips. Set aside.
2 eggs
1 Tbl. water
1 Cup Italian Flavored Bread Crumbs
1/3 Cup Parmesan Cheese
¼ tsp. Garlic Salt
1 tsp Italian Seasoning
(If you dont have Italian seasoning you can use ½ tsp. Parsley & ½ tsp. Oregano or add your own extra seasoning of your choice or dont add the extras at all but I like the extra flavor.)
Combine dry ingredients together. Then combine wet ingredients together. Dip chicken strips into egg, roll into dry ingredients. Then place on the Home & Garden Party Round or Rectangular Baking Stone and bake for 14-16 minutes at 450. This is a great snack that is crunchy, and easy!
You can order our Home & Garden Catalog for .00 that has more DELICIOUS receipes!
Craft Corner
Check out your local hardware store and look for L brackets, they come in lots of sizes. For a wonderful look for any décor, take several L brackets and attach them to the wall in a wonderful lattice pattern. Then take our Flower Pot Votive Holder (pg. 44) and some Velcro circles found in the craft section, place one on the bottom of the votive holder the other on the top of the L bracket (the part that is sticking out from the wall. Attach the votive holder and place your favorite color of Home & Garden Votive (pg. 38) in each container or pick a couple of colors to match your décor. When this is lit it gives a room a wonderful look. Use our Wick Trimmer (pg. 38) and Brass Candle Snuffer (pg. 8) to maintain your candles.
Your Home Decor
French Country is sweeping the United States in the decorating world today. With Home & Garden Party and a little creativity - the look can be achieved easily in your home.
French country style, perfect for any room in the house, is all about the beautiful and nature-inspired colors and textures of the rural regions of France.
Use the colors of the countryside.
Keep walls and floors neutral.
Include handcrafted artwork and accessories.
Use the Colors of the Countryside
The French have been inspired by the colors that surrounded them--cool blues, bright yellows, reds, greens and golds. Decide which color palette works for you and use it with furniture and accessories (including dishes, glassware and pottery) and in your accents.
Keep Walls and Floors Neutral.
Use a natural washed look in paint to have the walls seem "aged" and more authentic. Hardwood floors can complement this style and give a rustic feel. Light colors and neutral tones will make all of the colors you bring in more vibrant and alive!
Include Handcrafted Artwork and Accessories
French motifs include small, floral patchwork prints, farm animals, and folklore-inspired characters. * Find items made by other people at Craft Fairs!
Designers' Secret
If you are looking for a great French Country look check out page 9 and look at Garden gathering picture. That with some other accents would be a great look!! Remember, old is great, simple (plain or boring some would call it), metal works, white washed, garden items all make a great start for the French Country look.
